Rattan Wall Light
Understated meets sophistication in these rattan wall lights. Curved and classic, they’re
handwoven with natural, local fibres in Indonesia. The outer skin of the rattan vine is masterfully twined into a square weave and laid across a transparent backing to hold its captivating shape.
The finishing touch for boho, coastal or farmhouse interiors, this compact light works beautifully in your hallway as a gentle welcome-home light. Style it as to complement to our bathroom pendant lights and create a soft ambience for a deep, bubbly soak in the tub on a Friday evening. Pair them above your bed and gain extra bedside table space for your books and night knick-knacks.
All our light shades are unique, bearing the character of their beautifully handwoven origin and natural materials. You might find slight variations in colour, size and texture in each one.

FAQs
Are they really that easy to clean?
Yes! With just a little regular care, your light shade will continue to shine for years. To keep it looking its best, here are a few simple tips:
- Gently remove dust using a large (unused) wall paintbrush. Its long soft bristles easily reach into the weave to clean all the nooks and crannies. Alternatively, you can use a vacuum with a soft furnishing attachment. Just remember to support the light's weight while cleaning to avoid any damage.
- Occasionally, you may notice small grass-like strands poking out of the rattan or seagrass. Don't pull on them, gently trim any loose fibres with fine scissors or cuticle clippers.
- Keep it away from moisture, and only hang it inside – grey is not its most flattering colour.
- Ensure it is hung in a well ventilated place as they doesn't like humid environments.
How can I be sure of the quality of lights?
I have personally chosen each of my makers, prioritising small, family-run businesses that share my passion for quality and craftsmanship. There is no middleman in the process. I work directly with the artisans, and they set the price for their wares. I don't negotiate because I believe in fair, ethical pricing that honours their craft.
The makers I first engaged are the same ones I continue to work with today, and over the years, we’ve built strong, lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect.
I visit Indonesia to quality control each shipment, ensuring that every light meets my high standards. If I wouldn't hang it in my own home, I wont sell it.
Each piece is made in small batches, and the attention to detail in every weave and curve makes them a unique and lasting addition to your home.
How easy is it to find the perfect electrical kit for my new pendant light shade?
While I don't sell the electrical kits at this stage, I've done all the hard work for you. When you make a purchase, I email you links to the best electrical kits for your specific pendant light shade.
