Light your home sustainably with these wall sconces hand woven with bagor. A natural fabric sourced from the Gebang palm tree, these lights make an extraordinary statement, transforming functional walls into a backdrop for your unique style.

Bagor is a sustainably sourced fibre from the young leaves of the Indonesian Gebang. Local artisans strip the palm leaves into strings to produce a thread which is woven into curved wall sconces. Timber trims give structure and contrast, showcasing natural tones that lend laidback style to any room. Nestle a pair next to your bed, tuck one in your hallway or couple as a charming feature in your bathroom without taking up lots of space.

All our light shades are unique, bearing the character of their beautifully handwoven origin and natural materials. You might find slight variations in colour, size and texture in each one.

Materials & Care

Bagor with timber trim: Made from natural fibres, sustainably grown without chemicals.

Regular care should be taken of your light shade to ensure it looks its best for years to come.

To keep it looking its best remember to:

  • Keep it clean by wiping it over with a soft, barely damp cloth, a soft brush - like a large paint brush, or vacuum it with the soft furnishing attachment. Always support its weight when you are cleaning it.
  • Keep it away from moisture, and only hang it inside – grey is not its most flattering colour.
  • Ensure it is hung in a well ventilated place as it doesn't like humid environments.
  • Small grass like strands may protrude from the rattan and seagrass. Do not pull on them as this may damage them. Carefully trim away any loose fibres with a pair of fine scissors.
