Clear globes create a softer, more ambient feel with more defined shadow patterns from the weave. They're beautiful for bedrooms, Stairwells, living areas and spaces where you're looking to create atmosphere rather than bright task lighting.

All our globes give a warm light so it really comes down to how you want your lighting to work in your space.

Definitely clear! A clear globe allows the light to shine directly through the weave, creating beautiful, defined shadow patterns on your walls and ceiling. A translucent globe will soften those patterns, making them much less noticeable.

As a general guide, match the globe size to the scale of your light. 

• Small works well with smaller lights and wall lights
• Medium is a good all-round choice, and  
• Large suits larger lights or medium-sized lights if you prefer a more generous globe.

If you purchase a globe that will not work with your light, I'll let you know before I ship them.

Look at the lumens (lm). The higher the lumens, the brighter the light. You can compare the exact lumen output of each globe in the specifications. Generally translucent globes will be brighter than clear ones.

Yes! The globes are dimmable, but you'll need an LED-compatible dimmer switch installed on your wall. If you have a standard on/off switch, they'll simply operate at full brightness.
