Materials & Care

Seagrass: Made from natural fibres, sustainably grown without chemicals.

Regular care should be taken of your light shade to ensure it looks its best for years to come.

To keep it looking its best remember to:

  • Keep it clean by wiping it over with a soft, barely damp cloth, a soft brush - like a large paint brush, or vacuum it with the soft furnishing attachment. Always support its weight when you are cleaning it.
  • Keep it away from moisture, and only hang it inside – grey is not its most flattering colour.
  • Ensure it is hung in a well ventilated place as it doesn't like humid environments.
  • Small grass like strands may protrude from the rattan and seagrass. Do not pull on them as this may damage them. Carefully trim away any loose fibres with a pair of fine scissors.

Hi Anna. I love my Airlie pendants. They are absolutely perfect. They arrived in super quick time and were packaged so safely. I’m actually saving the piles of beautiful brown paper to make brown paper packages tied up with string for Christmas.
Being Covid times I’ve yet to have them hung but once done will send you a photo. Can’t wait to see how the light shadows fall. Thank you for all your help
