SHIPPING

We currently offer shipping and delivery to Australian addresses only. Please note that we do not deliver to PO Boxes. We use delivery service providers to help us get our products to you.

SHIPPING FEES

Shipping fees are calculated based on the size of your order and its destination. The shipping price for each order will be displayed during the checkout process, prior to payment and order confirmation. 

You agree to pay to us shipping fees as calculated at checkout.

As you know, technology is great, but it’s not infallible. If there’s an error in the calculation of your shipping costs, we’ll contact you before processing your order to discuss options (such as paying additional costs or modifying your order).

Our delivery service providers may change their fees from time to time, and so you acknowledge and agree that we can vary the shipping fees applicable to orders at any time on notice, and that such notice is given by posting the updated shipping fees on the website.

DELIVERY METHODS

We use a number of delivery service providers across Australia. Customers living in the Mornington Peninsula Shire may have their lights delivered by one of our friendly Lighthouse Lane team.

SIGNATURE ON DELIVERY

Our lights are large and valuable. Because of this, our carriers are contracted to produce a proof of delivery. Please ensure someone is home to sign for your delivery. If you are not home when delivery is due your goods will be taken back to the freight depot and a calling card will be left. A re-delivery fee will apply and must be paid for by you prior to re-delivery.

DELIVERY TIMES

Delivery times may vary between orders – we’ll do our best to let you know when to expect your delivery, however this is largely dependent on the delivery service provider. 

Typically, delivery occurs within 10 days of us receiving your payment and funds clearing. From time to time the delivery of items may exceed this window for reasons outside our control. We work hard to process all orders as quickly as possible an we will send you an email to let you know when your item has been dispatched by us.

Lighthouse Lane does not ship on weekends, Victorian or Australian Public Holidays.

We ask for your patience as this handling period may vary, for example if we have a high volume of orders. You acknowledge that we are not liable for any delay in dispatch of your order.

DELIVERY ADDRESS

It’s your responsibility to make sure your information is correct, especially your delivery address. If the address provided is incorrect, and the package is returned, you will be billed for the additional shipping charges in order for your delivery to reach you. You agree to this by placing an order with us. 

We also require a contact phone number, which may be used by the delivery service provider to arrange delivery. If we have been unable to deliver your order to your error, after 3 attempts, we reserve the right to cancel your order. In these circumstances we will refund you the price of your order, less the delivery fees incurred by us.

ORDERS LOST IN TRANSIT

If you’re concerned that your order has been lost or misdelivered, we ask that you contact us as soon as possible, so that we can investigate. You understand that while we’ll investigate your missing order, we make no representations as to responsibility or liability for any lost or misdelivered orders. In the event of items lost or damaged in transit, you acknowledge that our liability is limited to the amount of any compensation we are able to recover from the delivery service provider, less our reasonable costs of investigating and applying for compensation, unless otherwise required by law.

RISK

Risk in each order passes to you on delivery to your nominated address. You must sign for your delivery. If you ask us to deliver to an address and you’re not there, but someone else at the address signs for the parcel, the order will be taken to have been delivered on leaving the order with that person. 


If we accept a return of any goods, risk in those goods will return to us on our confirmation of receipt of the returned goods. We recommend you insure goods you return to us against loss or damage in transit.
